What makes Volleykats unique?
Volleykats is a program designed to develop the whole person both on and off the court. While we focus on technical skills, there is significant emphasis on character, teamwork, and personal responsibility.
Is Volleykats a club?
Volleykats is not a club nor a team. We focus on technical training to make you a better team player in all positions.
How old should I be before starting Volleykats?
Starting technical training is a matter of focus and desire rather than age or grade level.
How do I determine which Volleykats level is right for me?
Let’s discuss. I will suggest a session for you to attend so we can determine the best sessions for you.
Do I have to sign up for each session?
Yes. Sessions are skills-based rather than age-based. Contact Cindy to ensure placement in the proper sessions.
Where do you train?
Our primary facility is the gym at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. We often use other gyms like Trader’s Point Christian Church and Zionsville Presbyterian Church. Check the schedule for locations.
Will everyone in my session be the same age?
No. Our goal is to group people by skill rather than age. It’s better to train at experience level rather than age. For example, a high school student who has never played may need to master the skills sets developed in the grade school sessions before advancing to middle school and pre-high school.
When should I transition from technical training to team play?
That is a decision you will need to make. However, team practice is about team play and positions. Therefore, it’s important to have mastery of ball control and technical skills in all positions to reach your potential as a valuable team player.
What are your payment options and what is your cancellation policy?
Volleykats accepts cash, check, and Zelle. You can cancel your spot at no cost anytime at least 24 hours in advance of the start of the session.
